Our story began in a kitchen about 60 years ago.
It all starts with Toto.
He was eleven years old when he first entered a kitchen. From Calabrian pastry shops to cruise ships, he learned the trade by traveling, working, and observing. Years of discipline, technique, and the passion that, in 1999, gave life to our restaurant in the heart of the Old Port.
THE CHANGE
In 2020, we took a step further.
We transformed the restaurant into a Locanda, reclaiming the noblest meaning of the term: a place where fine dining meets rest.
We felt that something was missing. We wanted those who arrive here not just to stop for dinner, but to stay. We wanted them to wake up to the light over the harbor and experience this place with more time, without haste.
THE FAMILY
Today, alongside Toto, there is me, Francesca.
I grew up in the kitchen, surrounded by my father's scents and gestures. From him, I learned respect for raw materials: ours is a Mediterranean cuisine, made of carefully selected ingredients prepared with care. A direct, sincere cuisine that accepts no compromises.
HOSPITALITY
But a locanda is not just about the kitchen. It is also about hospitality and courtesy.
Here, you will find Sandra and me. We have worked together for over twenty years. </p>

We chose to become a Locanda to combine everything we love: cooking, hosting, and creating memories. Here, time stands still to give you the chance to experience the harbor in a different way: closer, simpler, more authentic.
